- Resume: outlining your previous work experience and educational background.
- Cover letter: explain why you are interested in working for a Canadian company, what type of work you are looking for, etc.
2. An Archer representative will contact you to arrange an on-line examination and interview.
3. An Archer representative will inform you of the results of your examination and interview and advise you on your course selection.
4. An invoice will be forwarded to you outlining the fees and course dates.
5. Submit all fees to Archer. Upon receiving your payment, Archer will issue a letter of acceptance and job offer letter (for internship candidates) for acquiring your visa documents.
6. Apply for your student visa and work permit (if you will do internship), and send copies to Archer once you receive them.
7. Apply for a criminal record check, if required, and forward a copy to Archer.
Internship Preparation (after arrival in Canada)
1. Meet with internship coordinator to discuss interests and program objectives, and review resume.
2. Apply for Social Insurance Number and Bank Account (paid internship placements)
3. Complete skills assessment and language proficiency assessment (monthly)
4. Attend interviews with possible internship placements (months 4-6 of program). Interviews will continue until you are offered a placement with a company.
5. Begin internship after successful completion of your course.
6. Complete internship evaluation and post-interview/presentation.
